General terms and conditions
Article 1 – ordering
You can place an order by clicking on all the desired products in the online store. If you want to order a product you can add it to your shopping bag. When you have finished shopping, go to the shopping bag and finish your order. Check the products placed in the shopping bag and select the desired mode of payment and shipment. If you have a discount code, you can fill this out and the discount will be automatically deducted. Check the order again and agree to the General Terms and Conditions. Choose your desired mode of payment and finish your payment. You are now referred to a secure area to finish the financial transaction. After finishing your payment, you will receive a confirmation e-mail. The purchase agreement is concluded via this e-mail. Dido’s Jewels reserves the right to cancel and/or annul the transaction process, should we deem this necessary.
Article 2 – payment
Advance payment can take place via iDEAL, Paypal or credit card (MasterCard and Visa). By using a certain credit card, you confirm that the credit card being used is yours. The amount due will be automatically debited to your account, provided that Dido’s Jewels has accepted this order. All cardholders will be subjected to verifications and a consent to validate by the credit card company. Should your card-issuing institution refuse to allow payment to Dido’s Jewels, we will delay the delivery and contact you. In this case Dido’s Jewels will not be held responsible for any delay or non-delivery. Credit card information is processed by means of an SSL (secure socket layer-) connection. Dido’s Jewels will not be held responsible for misuse of this information by third parties.
The total amount stated on the order and on the electronic order form includes the shipping costs. All prices mentioned on the online store include BTW (VAT).
Article 3 – delivery
3.1 – The Netherlands
Dido’s Jewels will try its best to send your order within a period of 2 working days. Dido’s Jewels cannot be held liable, should the shipment take place at a later date. Dido’s Jewels reserves the right to deliver the order up to 30 days after the order is placed and cannot be held liable by the customer. The customer will be informed should an order not be sent within 2 working days after placing an order.
All packages are sent with PostNL. In the Netherlands no shipment costs will be charged for sending a package to your home address or returning a package from your home address for orders exceeding an amount of € 75,-. For orders with an amount less than € 75,-, we have to charge a contribution in shipment costs of € 2,50.
3.2 – Europe
If you live in Europe you can indicate this during the payment process. In Europe, we have to charge a contribution in shipment costs of € 5,00. Shipment costs for sending a package from your home address to Dido’s Jewels are for your own account. In Europe, the package is delivered at your neighbour’s house if you are not at home. Shipment costs when returning from your home address to Dido’s Jewels. If you return items in order to exchange them for others, the shipment costs are for your own account. If you return items and you wish to have a refund, shipment costs are for your own account.
3.3 – Canada and the USA
If you live in Canada or the USA you can indicate this during the payment process. In Canada and the USA, we have to charge a contribution in shipment costs of € 7,50. Shipment costs for sending a package from your home address to Dido’s Jewels are for your own account. In Canada or the USA, the package is delivered at your neighbour’s house if you are not at home. Shipment costs when returning from your home address to Dido’s Jewels. If you return items in order to exchange them for others, the shipment costs are for your own account. 3.4 – the rest of the world
For delivery in the rest of the world, not mentioned in article 3.1, 3.2 or 3.3 we have to charge a contribution in shipment costs of € 17,00. Shipment costs for sending a package from your home address to Dido’s Jewels are for your own account. The package is delivered at your neighbour’s house if you are not at home. Shipment costs when returning from your home address to Dido’s Jewels. If you return items in order to exchange them for others, the shipment costs are for your own account. If you return items and you wish to have a refund, shipment costs are for your own account. Article 4 – Returns and exhanges
If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you can return it up to 14 days after delivery of the goods. The only thing you have to do is sent an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with the reason why you would like to return the item. You can always return your purchase and we will a give a full refund of the item price. This also applies to “SALE” items.
Returned products are only accepted if:
1. The product is returned in the original packaging;
2. The product has not been used, damaged, worn or cleaned;
3. Labels are still attached to the product;
4. The instructions of use have been properly followed up.
Any free products sent by Dido’s Jewels must also be returned. Products that are returned outside the above-mentioned period can be sent back to the purchaser without reimbursement. All carefully returned products will be credited. Up park will refund the paid amount minus possible shipping costs to the account number you have submitted within 10 days.
4.1 Processing and refunding
Your return will be confirmed by email when you report your return on the website and on receipt in our warehouse. No later than 3 business days after receipt of your return we will refund to your credit card or bank account, depending on your original payment method. The shipping fee of the original shipment (if appplicable) will not be refunded. If you exchange your return for a new purchase, we will send this new order free of shipping costs. Exchanging with your return amount on our website is easy and without any delay. If you decide not to ship to with our label costs will occur. These costs are for your own account.

4.2 – Exchanges
If you wish to exchange the product for a different product, another size or colour, you can indicate this in your email. We ask you to send us an e-mail or contact customer service, so we can reserve the product for you. Shipping costs for exchanges are for the account of Dido’s jewels. If you wish to exchange a product a second time we ask for a contribution of €4.95 to the shipping costs. When we receive the return package, you will receive a confirmation e-mail. If there is a price difference as a result from the exchange, you will receive an e-mail with a request for additional payment or you will receive the price difference on your account within 12 days. Exchanges are only accepted if the General Terms and Conditions have been adhered to.
Article 5 – liability
The information on Dido’s Jewels has been compiled with the utmost care and is constantly held up to date. However, we make no warranties of any kind about the nature of or information content on this website and in no event will we be liable for this information content or consequences of using the information content. We will not be held responsible or liable for the access to information on any website that is connected/linked to or with Dido’s Jewels in any way. Nothing on this internet site creates any rights or obligations. Typographical errors and/or incorrect prices are reserved. The colour of the product can differ from the colour on your computer screen. Every computer screen is different, as are the screen settings. Of course, we will try our best to portray the true colour as well as possible.
Article 6 – force majore
Dido’s Jewels has, in case of a force majeure, the right, at its opinion, to suspend or terminate the contract without judicial intervention. Dido’s Jewels will inform the client in writing. In this case Dido’s Jewels is not obliged to any compensation, unless standards of reasonableness and fairness determine otherwise. Force majeure means any deficiency that cannot be blamed on Dido’s Jewels, because it is not due to its fault. Neither under Dutch law, nor based on generally accepted practice.
Article 7 – privacy
All personal data disclosed to Dido’s Jewels will only be used for the handling of the order and will never be made available to third parties. Dido’s Jewels does not receive or store any credit card information on its computers and websites.
Article 8 – Applicable law and jurisdiction
On all rights, obligations, offers, orders and agreements to which these conditions apply, as well as these conditions, only Dutch law applies. All disputes between parties will only be submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands.
